There are a vast amount of choices when trying to pick a social site for your marketing efforts. Without spending a ton of time and money on extensive testing, there is no way to know where you are going to get the most bang for your buck.
Is Twitter a good place to boost my SEO? Can I get any traffic from Tumblr? Will posting on Facebook increase my Twitter followers? Is Tumblr good for customer interaction?
When you see massive social campaigns thrown up by the big boys, you know they picked their targets for a reason. They have tested, run focus groups, and all the other unpleasantries of market research. And spent a pile of cash doing so. We think its great when someone else does the research for you!
